Welcome to the SHPSHFTR Beta
Everything you need to know to test our platform on the Sepolia testnet.
Important: Use a Fresh Wallet
We strongly recommend creating a new wallet specifically for testing. Do not use a wallet containing real funds or valuable NFTs. While the testnet uses fake ETH with no real value, it's always best practice to keep your main wallet separate.
Your beta wallet address will be snapshotted for potential future rewards when we launch on mainnet.
What is Sepolia Testnet?
Sepolia is an Ethereum test network that mirrors the main Ethereum network but uses "test ETH" that has no real monetary value. This allows us to test all platform features—minting, buying, selling, auctions—without any financial risk.
- ✓All transactions are free (using test ETH)
- ✓Same experience as the real Ethereum network
- ✓Perfect for testing and finding bugs before launch
Step 1: Create a Test Wallet
If you don't have MetaMask or another Ethereum wallet, install one first:
Create a New Wallet for Testing
- 01Open MetaMask and click "Create a new wallet"
- 02Set a password and save your secret recovery phrase somewhere safe
- 03This will be your dedicated testing wallet
Step 2: Switch to Sepolia Network
In MetaMask:
- 01Click the network dropdown at the top (usually says "Ethereum Mainnet")
- 02Click "Show test networks" or go to Settings → Advanced → Show test networks
- 03Select "Sepolia" from the network list
If Sepolia doesn't appear, you may need to add it manually with these details:
Step 3: Get Free Test ETH
Faucets give you free Sepolia ETH for testing. You'll need this to pay for gas fees when minting, buying, or interacting with the platform. Try these faucets:
Google Cloud Faucet
Reliable, no sign-up required. 0.05 ETH per request.
Alchemy Sepolia Faucet
Requires free Alchemy account. 0.5 ETH per day.
Infura Sepolia Faucet
Requires free Infura account.
Step 4: Start Testing!
Once you have Sepolia ETH in your wallet, you're ready to explore:

- • Connect wallet and create profile
- • Purchase test NFTs
- • Place bids on auctions
As an Artist

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my test wallet linked to my real wallet?
No. If you create a new wallet, it's completely separate. However, if you want to use the same address on mainnet later, you can—Ethereum addresses work across all networks.
Will my profile carry over to mainnet?
Yes! Your user profile, artist verification, and gallery associations will all transfer when we launch on mainnet. Only testnet transactions and minted NFTs stay on the testnet.
Can I lose real money testing?
No. Sepolia ETH has no real value. All transactions on the testnet are completely free in terms of real-world cost. That's why we recommend using a test wallet—to avoid any confusion with real assets.
What happens to beta testers when you launch?
We're tracking all beta tester wallet addresses. Early supporters may be eligible for special perks, airdrops, or recognition when we go live. Thank you for helping us build!
